Our mission is for our children to live lives that are creative, productive and permanently free from poverty. In order for this to become a reality, it is essential that there are the right resources available.
This is why our new Centre of Excellence will be vital, as it provides our children with modern housing, education, sanitation and most importantly - enough safety to live comfortably and happily.
The land also has space for farming to begin, which ultimately means our children can learn to grow crops and sell them at the local marketplace.
This is part of our greater mission as it will give the kids experience in work, allowing them to develop skills such as teamwork, communication and composure under pressure, as well as the satisfaction of making a living.
This also means that, through money made selling the farmed goods, the centre would need less funding and would be able to eventually become fully self-sustaining.
The new building development will drastically improve the lives of our orphans as they will soon have comfortable, individual bedrooms with ample space for 4 children each. Pupils will have 10 classrooms to be taught in as well as a library and 2 labs. Teachers and staff will have their own living spaces and offices. Everybody will have access to a dining hall where they can eat food cooked fresh from the adjoining kitchen. Better facilities, sanitation, books, desks, beds, stationary, utensils, medecine and equipment can be kept there, all for the benefit of our kids.
To us, these sound like simple things that we can expect almost everyday.
To them, it's a dream.
A dream that we need your help to make a reality.
