The 12-day trip takes you to our own orphanage in Webuye, Kenya, where you can meet our students, teachers and staff. You will have an important role that will make a true difference to our centre and our children’s lives, which is why the rewarding nature of this experience cannot be found anywhere else.

For just over 6 years Eric and the HGiving team have reached out to thousands of people across the globe to help the less fortunate, by enlisting them to contribute to new projects that will give our children the opportunity to have a better, sustainable future.
Throughout your trip you will have countless opportunities to meet like-minded individuals, to mastermind and explore, contribute, create new experiences and connect with both the team and local communities – but most importantly of all:
make lasting change.
Everything you do will have a lasting effect on everyone you meet, especially our children who rely on us for their food, education and support. This trip really is an amazing opportunity to make a lasting difference, learn about different cultures and understand what life in Kenya really is like.

what you will get involved with
There are plenty of projects to get involved in whilst you are there, and plenty of opportunities to bring your own ideas to the table.
Teaching, sports and games: Whilst at the orphanage you will be able to lead classes and teach, be it English or another area that you specialise in, so you can push the children's education even further! If you don't like the pressure in front of a class, you can lend your skill on the playing field instead.
Building projects and expansions: We are always trying to expand and grow our facilities and our complex, and this needs hands. Be it knocking down walls or putting up newer ones, there is room for all to get involved.
'Outside the box' Improvements: We don't pretend to have all of the answers or all of the solutions, that is why we ask for volunteers! You might see something you could improve or a design you could tweak, or an improvement that would change our children's lives for the better! Anything is possible.
Project: Initiative: This is where we want you to come up with your own projects. After seeing our site and meeting our children, you will see areas that only YOU can make a difference to, and we do all we can to let you do that - from a new building to a plot of land for vegetables to newly painted doors.
Making friends: This is the most important project to get involved in. Our kids really appreciate the love, care and attention you can give, and more than anything they love being made to laugh. If you do nothing else on your trip but make the children happy, your trip has been a success.
